Requirements of the user
To use the calculator you have to have enough knowlege about how to secure gods.

This calculator helps you to decide how many lashings you need to secure your load.

It also helps you to decide which lashing method you should use.

Use the calculator like this:
First you have to decide a calculation standard for your transportationarea.

Most of the countries in the EU are using the EN 12195-2 standard,
but Germany has 2 standards.
The VDI 2700 and EN 12195-2

This means that you have to check out the transportationarea in Germany,
if you don't want to pay penalty.

If you are not shure which standard to use, you have the possibility to
use the standard "Country wide".

This standard is 100 percent penelty prof, but you have to use more lashings
with this standard.

Choose the Transportationarea
If your transport goes over water, the IMO standard is included in the calculation.

If you are using Spring, loop or direct lashings, you have to add

And at last add the angles of you lashing.

"click the next button"
Now the calculator calculates the data and shows the following results

From the example above you can see that you need 50 top over lashings,or if you want to secure your cargo more efficiency with less lashings.

Use
5 spring lashings to front
2 spring lashings to the back
6 loop lashings pairs sideways (6 for each direction, left / right.)
A total of 18 lashings instead of 50 topover lashings.

If you want to reduce your lashings even more, you can use blockings and put the blockingheights into this page and recalculate.

If you blocking i as high as the cargoheight just check the checkbox.

OBSERVE! Even if you get the anser that you don't need any lashings, you have to take into concern that you have cargo movement during transportation.

For calculations, the calculation assumes:
- that you have tightend your lashings to the values printed on the label of the lashingequipment
- that you have specified the right LC or MBL values
- that the anchorage for you lashings only withstands 2 tons of stress
- that the cargo and underlying surface is dry and free from sno and ice.
- that you use chocks for rolling gods, which are not secured in another way.

You can have to retensioning your cargo during transport.

OBSERVE!
It is possible that you need more lashings than the calculator shows,
if you don't have form stable gods.
